Preparing for Bald Head Island No Boundaries

Life is busy and this week I have been packing art materials in readiness for a 2 week artist retreat in Bald Head Island - with ACME artist friends Pam Toll, Dick Roberts and Michael Van Hout and 16 other artists from NC and UK and Austria

Hoping to get time whilst there to post artwork from all artists as works in progress so watch this space!

New Work

Exploring new ideas for paintings and collage .. things that inspire me at the moment are theatrical, circus-like, puppetry and childhood inspired, dreams etc .. looking forward to a trip to Bald Head Island for the No Boundaries artist retreat next month - 2 weeks of painting my ideas out ..

Fish Boy

Inspired by an image I saw of a boy kissing a bird, this long necked warrior boy is looking at the fish he has caught in awe at the wonder of nature

True to yourself

Been thinking about my work and how important it has been for me to be true to myself and to do the work that comes from within, to be in the moment and let myself 'go' when I create to not think too hard on it but to let it happen to explore my work through the accidents and to stay playful and honest to myself
